PMB INVESTMENT DECLARES INCOME DISTRIBUTIONS FOR 4 FUNDS
PMB Investment Berhad, a member of Pelaburan MARA Berhad group, has declared income distributions for four of its funds – PMB Shariah Index Fund (PMB SIF) and PMB Shariah Dividend Fund (PMB SDF) for the financial year ended 31 March 2015 and monthly income distributions for its two money market funds, PMB Shariah Wholesale Income Fund 1 (PMB SWIF1) and PMB Shariah Cash Management Fund (PMB SCMF).
PMB SIF declared a 1.20 sen nett income distribution in the form of units, representing a yield of 2.3% over the Fund’s NAV a year ago. Its net asset value (NAV) per unit rose to RM0.5405 (cum-income distribution) on 31 March 2015 from RM0.5229 on 15 March 2014 (ex-income distribution). After the distribution, the ex-income distribution NAV per unit for the Fund was adjusted to RM0.5285. The fund had its financial year-end changed to 31 March from 15 March.
Another equity fund, PMB SDF declared a 1.00 sen nett income distribution in the form of units for the year ended 31 March 2015. The income represents 3.9% yield over the Fund’s NAV a year ago. Its net asset value (NAV) per unit rose to RM0.2788 (cum-income distribution) on 31 March 2015 from RM0.2555 on 31 March 2014 (ex-income distribution). After the distribution, the ex-income distribution NAV per unit for the Fund was adjusted to RM0.2688.
PMB SWIF1 declared an income distribution of 0.3197 sen nett, in the form of units for March.
As for PMB SCMF, it declared an income distribution of 0.1 sen nett, in the form of units for March. After the distribution, the ex-income distribution NAV per unit for the Fund was adjusted to RM0.5062.
All unit holders of the three unit trust funds on the register at the close of 31 March 2015 were entitled to the distribution in the form of new units. For the wholesale fund, the entitlement is based on the number of days the units are outstanding during the month.
PMB SIF is a Shariah-compliant Index fund with investments in equity, suitable for investors with moderate to high risk tolerance level with a medium to long term investment horizon. The performance of the fund will be matched closely to the performance of the FBMSHA.
PMB SDF is a Shariah-compliant income fund which is suitable for investors with a moderate risk tolerance level for investment in listed companies that have the potential to declare dividend yield of at least 3% per annum at prevailing prices.
PMB SWIF1 is a wholesale money market fund for qualified investors with its NAV per unit maintained at RM1 while PMB SCMF is a money market unit trust fund for general investors with a floating NAV per unit. Both are money market funds with regular income stream suitable for institution, corporate and individual investors that look for alternative deposit placements with tax incentive and consistent level of returns.
